Volkswagen Announces Increase in Sales of 2007
Sunday, November 4th, 2007
Volkswagen has announced an increase in sales for October 2007. That’s good news for the company as the October 2007 sales exceeded the October 2006 sales by 8.3 percent. In 2006, Volkswagen sold 15, 942 units and in 2007 they sold 17,260 units.
A huge percentage of the projected sales come from the availability of the 2008 Jetta line. The Jetta is one of the more popular Volkswagen sedan vehicles in the United States. Following in the tradition of naming cars after various winds, the Jetta gets its name from the “jet stream” which means a fast flowing narrow air current found in the atmosphere. The Jetta was created by Volkswagen when it realized the North American market’s preference for sedan vehicles. Its nicer interior and higher market price caused it to be launched as a relatively more upscale car than the Volkswagen Rabbitt.
Purchasing the 2008 Volkswagen Jetta is indeed a reason for celebration for practical car buyers. The new Jetta is a compact, five – seater sedan with a 2.5L, 5 cylinder, in-line engine. The Jetta exudes safety and quality. The car’s front suspension is composed of independent McPherson struts, coil springs, telescopic shock absorbers, and an integrated stabilizer bar while the car’s rear suspension is multilinked and has coil springs, telescopic gas pressurized shock absorbers and a stabilizer bar.
