Trendy women in the crosshairs of the Volkswagen Eos
It is quite bold for a carmaker to target only a specific segment of the market but Volkswagen has done it with the 2-door coupe convertible 2007 Eos. Getting its name from the Greek goddess of dawn and wind, the Eos is obviously intended for affluent women but this shouldn’t stop the guys from also getting a piece of the action.
The Eos is a winner from its looks alone. It comes with an integrated glass sunroof so you can enjoy the view while comfortably ensconced in the protection of the passenger cabin. Opting for the Luxury Package gives you leather seats, leather-wrapped three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, wood interior trim, rain-sensing wipers, a six-disc, in-dash CD changer with MP3 playback capabilities and Sirius Satellite radio.
You can select between two engines:
(1) 2.0-liter, I4, 147 KW (200 hp) turbocharged gasoline engine, manual-6 gearbox
(2) 3.2-liter, V6, 184 KW (250 hp) gasoline engine, DSG-6 gearbox
As a further come on to women drivers, Volkswagen has contracted the services of Lutz & Patmos, Hable Construction and Sigerson Morrison to design a line of fashion Volkswagen accessories for the Eos.
